What is a Patent Map?
A patent map refers to defining the technical parameters of a technology to be analyzed, researching the overall patent information for that technical category, and processing useful patent information to fit the purposes of the inquiry. This allows for an accurate understanding of patent trends at home and abroad and the status of relevant patents.
We also provide customized services for specific client requests, such as identifying gaps in technical areas for which there are a lack of patents, and providing comprehensive reports of comparison and analysis of a client’s patent portfolio and that of a competitor’s.
While the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO, or the patent office) operates a patent map website (www.patentmap.or.kr), Ein Patent Law Office will be happy to look into how we can provide optimum service, should a client require detailed documentation for specific needs.
