How to file Trademark Application

A trademark application can be filed directly with the KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) or with the help of a legal representative (patent attorney).

It is recommendable to file the application with the help of a patent attorney to expect higher possibility of registration. If you need help of patent attorney regarding trademark application, please contact einpat@einpat.com.

If you are trying to file a design application directly with KIPO, you can contact http://www.patent.go.kr/jsp/ka/prestep/codeapp/CodeAppIndex.jsp to apply for Applicant’s Identification Number and proceed with filing procedures referring to the guidelines.
